Welcome to Black Henderson, a vibrant community organization committed to promoting commerce and community for Black people that live, work or do business in the City of Henderson, NV.
Our Story
In 2020, a small Facebook group with just six members sparked the inception of what has today evolved into a thriving community hub. Co-founders Jameen and Nicci Willis, who had recently moved to Henderson, observed a need for a stronger network and greater visibility among the black community. Inspired by the adage, “Be the change you want to see in the world,” they transformed their observation into action. Black Henderson has since burgeoned into a resourceful network with thousands of members.
Meet the Founders
Jameen and Nicci Willis are the beating heart of Black Henderson. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, this power couple is not only passionate about entrepreneurship and community building but also active real estate professionals in Henderson. They own The Willis Team LV and Lavender Homes, LLC, and serve diligently in various aspects at Central Christian Church.
